Jesus Last Days, A Model For Our Days
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NASB)
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
This scripture is one of several foundational scriptures for me. It's why I love to read and reflect on the word. In reality Scripture, the inspired Word of God is more than that. John 1:1-5,14 says:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it....14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of [he only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
As we read, study and reflect on God's Word we are getting to know Jesus better. Tomorrow is Palm Sunday, the day that the church traditionally remembers Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem for what would be the final week of His earthly life. Over the next 10 days I will be sharing from a different format. It will follow those last days of Jesus in a devotional that I wrote years ago. It was then that I heard the prophetic word which in part was the inspiration for "nuggets" and Veins of Truth.
I hope you will join me through this journey through the accounts of Jesus last days and I pray that you will be blessed.

Introduction
This brief devotional is the end fruit of something the Lord laid on my heart years ago. The Lord moved me so deeply at that time that I attempted to share what the Lord showed me in the form of a sermon. It was one of the first times I preached so I am not sure how effectively I communicated the message. I felt strongly at that time and still do today, that this indeed is a message for the body of Christ.
I have attempted to be theologically sound in my writing. I am however not a Biblical scholar and much of what I share are really my reflections. I encourage you to both study the word and ask the Holy Spirit if there is anything you question in the content.
Anyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior or anyone who is seeking to know the truth of God is drawn to the Bible as the source of that truth. One of the difficulties many people face is that the idea of trying to read the Bible can be overwhelming. The New Testament alone has so much information it is beyond the capabilities of our finite minds to comprehend and retain more than a small portion of the wisdom and knowledge it contains.
People often marvel at how miraculous it is that Jesus did all that He did in His earthly ministry in a period of about three years. There is a well known essay “One Solitary Life” that speaks of how tremendously the brief life and ministry of Jesus impacted the world and changed human history.
I truly believe that if we will take just over a week to reflect on one week in the life of Jesus our lives will never be the same. The Lord did so much in the final week of his life on earth that we could easily spend a lifetime reflecting on all that He did. So much happened and so much was taught in that final week that the writers of the Gospels wrote about 30% of the total chapters about the events and teachings of that one week. Jesus knew that as His last days with His disciples came to a close, He would need to pour Himself out like never before. His time was precious and He wasted none of it.
My hope and prayer is that as you reflect with me over the next ten days you will be changed. Time once again is very short. The days until Christ returns are numbered. May we live each day to impart His love to a dying world.
I would make just one request of you . If you will take time to read this study please do it with an open mind and an open Bible. My words may or may not impart something to you. God’s word however, will not come back void. As you open His word and open yourself to His word, He will be faithful to reveal Himself to you.
