Let us go unto the house of the Lord

Psalm 122 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem.

A Song of Ascents, of David.

122 I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

No matter what the current circumstances in your life might be I encourage you to join your heart with the Psalmist. Today there is an opportunity to go to the house of the Lord. Isaiah saw a vision of God in heaven, Isaiah 6 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Isaiah’s Vision

In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called out to another and said,

“Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts,
The whole earth is full of His glory.”

When we choose to worship God we can begin to see things from His perspective. The storms of our lives that have raged around us become less prominent. We see God's glory and how His glory fills the earth. There is nothing better for us than to get a heavenly view of things. Fear, doubt, hopelessness, guilt, condemnation, whatever we are struggling with and battling in our lives are overcome by the glory of God.

In His presence there is peace, there is comfort, there is wholeness. The whole earth is filled with His glory.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, I choose today, right now to fellowship with You. Your word says that if I draw near to You, You will draw near to me. I need to be in Your presence. I need Your embrace. I come to You. I am thankful Jesus that You made a way for this to be possible. You made a way where there was no way. There is nothing left for me to do but to respond. I come to You, to bask in Your goodness and glory.
